Social Events
We have at our disposal a modern and functional clubhouse where members
gather on Tuesday afternoons from 17:00 to glean information about upcoming
races or to participate in the weekly time trail.
On the first Tuesday of each month we have a braai after the time trial.
This is where we meet socially and where new frienships are formed.You are more than welcome to
participate in the time trails irrespective of your times or ability.
The
club also arranges a longer run training session from the clubhouse every
Sunday morning. This run caters for both faster and slower runners and really
forms the backbone of the clubs training program.
Club Tent
Magnolia offers the facility of a club tent at some of the prominent races
where you are invited to enjoy some refreshments after you have completed your
race.
Anybody interested in manning our club tent, please contact Ronald or Colin.
Members will be paid the following:
- 21 km race R 100.00
- 42.2 and longer in Pretoria R 150.00
- Race's outside Pretoria R 200.00
- Comrades Tent R 400.00
The Club will provide all the refreshments and pay for food purchased.
Members must collect Tent and other equipment from Clubhouse and return it. The trailer is
available to transport equipment and beverages.
Arrangements can be made for the tent to be erected on your behalf.
